Scriptorium Preflight · biomedicine

MVP in preparation · no sales or file intake yet

Check the paper before the reviewer does.

Pre-submission quality control for biomedical authors: methods, reporting, logic, references and ethics.

No account. No upload. No answer storage. The calculation runs in this browser tab.

Scope

A report that tells you where to look next.

Scriptorium organises risk before the next submission system. It does not write the paper for the author or replace scientific peer review.

We examine

  • study design and methods
  • reporting-guideline fit
  • consistency across abstract, text, tables and supplement
  • inference logic and claim support
  • transparency, ethics and AI-use disclosure

Service boundaries

  • no publication or peer-review outcome guarantee
  • no ghostwriting or assumption of authorship
  • no clinical validation of patient data
  • no manuscript transfer to public AI services

Ten questions provide an indicative readiness signal. Answers stay in this page’s memory and disappear when you close it.

Study type and reporting guidance critical item

The design is classified unambiguously and mapped to the right checklist, such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, STARD, TRIPOD or CARE.

Protocol, registration and outcomes critical item

Objectives, primary outcomes and analyses match the protocol or registry, and deviations are disclosed.

Reproducible methods

Eligibility, data provenance, procedures and variable definitions let another team understand and reproduce the analysis.

Participant-flow and denominator consistency critical item

Sample sizes, denominators, exclusions and missing data agree across the text, tables, figures and supplement.

Statistical methods

Each main analysis answers the research question; assumptions, missing data, multiplicity and uncertainty are addressed.

Abstract versus main text critical item

Numbers, outcomes and conclusions in the abstract agree with the results and are not stronger than the main text supports.

References and claim support

Key claims have appropriate sources, identifiers are correct and citations are not used beyond what the source supports.

Ethics, approvals and transparency critical item

Approvals, funding, conflicts, data availability and other declarations required for this study type are reported.

AI use

If AI was used, its role is disclosed under the journal policy and the author has verified claims, numbers and citations.

Limitations and inference boundaries

Limitations, risk of bias and generalisability are discussed in proportion to the design and data.

This is an educational triage tool, not an automated peer review, legal advice or an acceptance forecast.

Pilot offer

A clear scope before work begins.

Every package ends with a prioritised risk report. Scope, timing, file formats and retention are confirmed before any material is transferred.

Reporting-guideline map

Selection of the right checklist and a map of missing sections based on a study synopsis — without sharing the full manuscript.

Scope
Study synopsis + 1–2 page memo; credited towards a larger package ordered within 14 days.
Timing
within 2 business days

Expert Preflight

Submission-readiness and methodological-clarity review by a clinician-researcher.

Scope
Up to 7,500 words and 8 tables/figures; prioritised report + one debrief of up to 30 minutes.
Timing
within 5 business days

Protocol or systematic-review audit

In-depth audit of the protocol, search strategy and reporting architecture.

Scope
Scoped after a short qualification; price depends on questions, databases and appendices.
Timing
usually 7–10 business days

Institutional workshop

Work on the workflow of a clinical, CRO or medtech team — from guidance to an internal preflight process.

Scope
Up to 12 people, one workshop day and materials; travel and extensions quoted separately.
Timing
date agreed individually

Pilot pricing based on the prototype. Before payments launch, every amount will be labelled unambiguously as gross or net and covered by the terms. This version has no checkout.

Confidential by construction

The manuscript stays yours. The analysis stays controlled.

These are design requirements for the service. File intake will open only after every control has been implemented and tested.

Author rights

You do not transfer copyright in the manuscript, data or source materials. Permission is limited to performing the agreed analysis.

NDA before the file

A non-disclosure agreement can be signed before transfer. Access rules and authorised people are explicit.

Local processing

Manuscript content is intended to be analysed on infrastructure controlled by Łukasz, without Polsia or public generative-AI APIs.

No training

Client content is not used for model training, benchmarks, marketing or memory used for another client.

Isolation and retention

Each engagement receives an isolated workspace and agreed retention period. Deletion can be confirmed after delivery.

Method ownership

The client receives the report for their own use. Scriptorium methods, rubrics, software and general knowledge base remain their creator’s property.

Public site outside. Confidential compute inside.

The planned hybrid architecture separates convenient availability from client material.

edge

Public layer

minarowski.pl or a small edge VPS: offer, anonymous Risk Scan, contact, payment and status. No manuscript content.

private

Private layer

Home Lab / controlled workstation: encrypted intake, isolated job, local tools and expert review.

First contact

Discuss a pilot without sending the file.

In your first message, describe the study type, length and target date. Do not attach a manuscript or patient data — we will arrange a secure channel separately.
